Welcome to the official website of the Ronald Curry Christmas Classic! The Ronald Curry Christmas Classic, will bring high-school basketball teams from across the state of Virginia together to compete in this 3-day basketball tournament on the beautiful campus of Hampton University. Ronald Curry, currently a starting wide receiver for the Oakland Raiders, has experienced success not only on the football field but on the basketball court during his athletic career. His 1998 selection to the McDonald’s All-American Basketball Team, MVP of the McDonald’s All-American game, and being named starting point guard for the North Carolina Tar Hills has always kept the sport of basketball close to his heart.

About Ronald Curry

During Ronald’s high school days, he began to experience tremendous success on the basketball court and football field. He was one of only a few athletes who achieved the accomplishments of being named National Player of the Year in basketball and football. Playing the sport of basketball had given Ronald the opportunity to play in various holiday basketball tournaments across the country. Now Ronald is in a position to present a holiday basketball tournament in his name for current high school basketball players so they will have the same opportunities for prime exposure as he did while playing basketball at Hampton High School.

The Ronald Curry Christmas Classic will be utilizing raised funds to support community organizations and programs, while building awareness for the causes the tournament represents. The overall goal of the Ronald Curry Christmas Classic, is to provide a first-class high-school basketball event for the Hampton Roads Community.
